Bootcamp Completion Prediction: Pass/Fail Classification
Data Scientist
Bootcamp Completion Prediction is a machine learning project that predicts whether bootcamp participants are likely to pass or fail using attendance records, assessment scores, and assignment submission data.
What I built
- Performed data cleaning, preprocessing, and feature engineering by combining multiple datasets into a unified training dataset.
- Developed a K-Means clustering model to generate participant labels and trained a Random Forest classifier for pass/fail prediction.
- Analyzed feature importance to identify the factors that contributed most to bootcamp completion.
- Collaborated with a team to develop the solution, which was awarded 2nd Place in the MineToday 2025 Data Mining Competition.
